Amir Johnson Solves Big NBA Mystery, Teaches Pronunciation of Jonas Valanciunas

Amir Johnson doesn't merely play basketball and wear sweet sneakers. The man has been known to do the world a service and teach great lessons.?

SportsGrid spots this teachable moment brought to us by the Toronto Raptors forward, who would like it if you all properly pronounced the name of his new teammate and Lithuanian rookie, Jonas Valanciunas.?

Once you hear how it's pronounced, you will realize the spelling is a lot more daunting than the actual speaking of his name.?

Not that this is the first moment of awesome delivered by Johnson this season. As we reported earlier in the month, he was seen rocking Nike sneakers with his face plastered all over them.? I still don't care that I am not nor ever will be Amir Johnson. I want those shoes.?

As for this video, it's your basic run-of-the-mill interview on the street with a bunch of people looking at the name of the 20-year-old center and becoming flabbergasted at how to pronounce it.?

The best part is an ACC fan who, for no reason we can figure, is wearing a Where's Waldo costume. I guess since she is a female, she would be Waldo's lovely counterpart Wilma.?

Either way, we found her.? Stick around until the end of the video to find out that the name of the center who is averaging over eight points and five blocks in his inaugural season is pronounced, "JOH-nas Val-And-CHEW-Nas."

Now we can move on with our lives.?

Follow me on Twitter for more nonsense.?
