Clinton Foundation Seeks Birthday Wishes for Ex-President

Former President Bill Clinton marks his 66th birthday on Sunday ? and, while it may not as spectacular as last year?s milestone bash featuring Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks and Stevie Wonder ? you can still send a greeting to the former president.

The William J. Clinton Foundation is seeking birthday wishes on its website. Last year, more than 120,000 greetings came from friends and supporters, Bruce Lindsey, the foundation?s CEO, said on the site.

?I'll never forget how genuinely touched and delighted he was by the messages,? Lindsey said.

This year?s appeal was even endorsed by singer Jon Bon Jovi on his own website.

?Over these many years that I?ve been privileged to know Bill Clinton, I?ve admired him as both a President and a diplomat,? Bon Jovi said. ?I, like many others, have been inspired by him and his relentless efforts to improve the lives of others around the globe through his philanthropic work.?

The foundation did not indicate how Clinton was celebrating this year, but it did tout its own accomplishments: four million people who have received treatments for HIV/AIDS, 3.2 million meals served to children in Colombia, 4.5 million trees planted by farmers in Rwanda and Malawi, and 30 million U.S. children who?ve received healthier meals.

?Countless lives have been transformed, thanks to President Clinton's vision and the support of people like you,? Lindsey?s appeal said.

Meanwhile, in Clinton?s hometown, Fayetteville, Ark., the Clinton House Museum held an open house and cookout on Saturday.

?Bill probably won?t be there, just so we?re clear,? the museum?s website said. ?Anything?s possible, though.?

Last year? Clinton marked his birthday with three days of partying that included a Hollywood Bowl bash that also featured actress Jessica Alba and other celebrities.

That party, however, came at a price: The cheapest seats at the Bowl were $50, the VIP reception cost $100,000 ? and a round of golf with Clinton went for $1 million.
