Scott?s relations have announced that while only family will be allowed to attend the burial, fans will be able to attend a separate memorial for which a date is yet to be scheduled.
A statement released by a spokesman for the Top Gun director?s family said: ?Tony Scott will be honoured at a private, family-only ceremony this weekend in Los Angeles.
?The family will announce plans for a gathering to celebrate the life and work of Mr Scott. Details will be forthcoming once they are formalised.?
Tony Scott committed suicide by jumping off a bridge in California earlier this week. He was 68 years old.
ABC News had previously reported that the director took his own life ?without hesitation? so his family did not have to witness him dying a slow death from an inoperable brain tumour.
However, Craig Harvey from the Los Angeles County Coroner?s Office later revealed to the Los Angeles Times that his relatives had denied Scott had been diagnosed with cancer.
