Spiritual awakening is not about self improvement but about discovering and realizing who and what we really are. (Which is beyond mind).
When Truth takes over,?there?s a lot that has to to be unlearned and relinquished and the ego?will?resist it.
The spiritual path to awakening is not about becoming someone, a ?better? version of yourself or anything like that, but about relinquishing who we think we are are, and with that realization also let go of all it?s opinions about how life ?should be?, which is always something different than what is right now.
It requires your?uttermost commitment and desire to know Truth, come what may, and it has nothing to do with feeling better (which is avoidance of Life), it means to face what is with openness and to have the willingness to completely surrender to the process.
It?s about being truthful with yourself, trusting your intuition and following your own inner flow, and in that process your ego, ideas and beliefs will be challenged, and with that great suffering can come up that causes severe distress and inner turmoil.?
Suffering is oftentimes the portal to spiritual awakening and awareness is the key.
The more Light you encounter within yourself, the more the ego will resist the transformation, and the more ego we see and understand by our awareness of it, the faster it vanishes, because it only?exists?in the mind.
When the relief comes with the letting go, or surrendering to what is happens, then the distorted thoughts about being held captive by some invisible force also disappears. There was no force there to begin that held you captive, it was all mental. A story.
