Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is an active, fun-loving tweeter.

Sometimes he's cryptic about Colts matters, or sends out some cloaked message in the obscure classic-rock lyrics he always tweets. Occasionally, he uncorks news.

On Thursday night, Irsay tweeted that "SERIOUS TRADE WINDS" were swirling, and followed that up by stating that Colts general manager Ryan Gregson "isn't afraid to roll the dice" in an "aggressive move," and furthermore claimed that "my (cheque book) stands ready!"

Within the hour, though, someone clearly informed the boss that his tweets could jeopardize any deal the Colts might be working on.

Irsay then downplayed it all, tweeting that nine times out of 10 "these deals fizzle out like a faulty Roman Candle," and that he "must move behind the curtain!"

Late Friday afternoon, Irsay poked his head out again: "Things r still n play, deal may just go down this weekend, time will tell."
